Supergel is considered one of the most widely used colour filter ranges in the world. It consists of more than 75 colours and 15 diffusions, engineered using Rosco's exclusive polycarbonate extrusion process that provides the longest possible service life in hot theatre and film/television luminaires. This unique manufacturing process gives Supergel filters outstanding heat resistance, colour stability and flame retardancy. Body-Colored Polycarbonate technology Supergel uses Rosco's signature body-coloured extrusion process. Production begins by combining powdered resin and dyes to create a concentrated “pellet”. This dye concentrate and additional clear resin are fed into an extruder, where they are mixed under intense pressure and heat. The material is then extruded through a die to form a 24" (60 cm) wide film. Maximum temperature at which deformation (softening) occurs: 160 °C Maximum temperature at which the material melts: 220 °C
