Supergel is considered one of the most widely used colour filter ranges in the world. It consists of more than 75 colours and 15 diffusions, produced using Rosco's exclusive polycarbonate extrusion process for maximum service life in hot theatre and film/TV luminaires. Body-Colored Polycarbonate technology Supergel uses Rosco's signature body-coloured extrusion process. Production begins by combining powdered resin and dyes to create a concentrated “pellet”. This dye concentrate and additional clear resin are fed into an extruder, where they are mixed under intense pressure and heat. The material is then extruded through a die to form a 24" (60 cm) wide film. Maximum temperature at which deformation (softening) occurs: 160 °C Maximum temperature at which the material melts: 220 °C
