Supergel is considered one of the most widely used colour filters in the world. It consists of over 75 colours and 15 diffusions, manufactured using Rosco’s exclusive body-coloured polycarbonate extrusion process for maximum life in hot theatrical and film/TV luminaires. This unique process gives Supergel outstanding heat resistance, colour stability and flame retardance. Body-Colored Polycarbonate Technology Supergel uses Rosco’s signature extreme body-coloured extrusion process. Production starts by combining powdered resin and dyes to create a concentrated “pellet”. This concentrate and additional clear resin are fed into an extruder, where they are mixed under intense pressure and heat. The mixture is then extruded through a die, forming a 24" (60 cm) wide film. Maximum temperature before deformation (softening): 160 °C Maximum temperature before melting: 220 °C
