- Location of the lighting desk The lighting desk must be located in a position from which the stage can be seen. Preferably in the lighting technician's booth on the opposite side of the stage. In theatres there are usually two booths. One for the lighting technician and one for the sound engineer. In cultural houses, one booth is enough, or if there is no possibility of a booth, a balcony. In the lighting booth(lighting director) all communication and control elements for the whole stage and hall converge! A lighting technician in a professional theatre must be able to lock all the controls in the stage and auditorium areas and take absolute control of them.
- Cable routes Since the power supply cables are used to distribute regulated voltage, it is very important to design and install all wiring routes so that they do not interfere with each other. The crossing and spacing of individual cables is subject to strict rules. Failure to follow these guidelines will result in audio or video interference.
